It took me some time to write this review of the Mach X. But I also ran a lot with the shoe.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hoka Mach X in “Ocean Mist \/ Lime Glow” goes well in the summer – even if I honestly had to get used to the color scheme. Meanwhile, I find him but really chic and wear him very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cushioning looks very substantial, as is typical for Hoka. You stand on 39 millimeters at the heel, which decreases by 5 mm towards the forefoot. This is a geometry that I like very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the midsole made of PEBA and EVA foam, the Mach X also hides a plate made of PEBAX. This super foam is intended to provide even greater rebound and thus better propulsion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An additional outsole made of abrasion-resistant rubber protects the midsole of the Hoka Mach X. It is applied over a large area, but does not have much of a profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mesh upper is made of recycled fibers and adapts well to the foot. A good padded tongue and a comfortable heel area make the Mach X a pleasant companion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With 599 grams for both shoes in my size, the Hoka still falls into the lightweight category – according to my weight classes. That fits pretty well for such a well-cushioned shoe that is also to be worn in competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Running Experience<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Hoka Mach X and I: that was love at first step. The fit and comfort were very good as soon as I slipped them on. And the first casual running sessions have only confirmed the positive impression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s mainly because the shoe has relatively soft cushioning, but it doesn’t swallow the energy, but can release it again. I attribute this to the PEBAX plate in the midsole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably the plate also leads to the convincingly good properties during faster runs and intervals. Despite the comfort, I always had the feeling of having a fast shoe on my foot that supports me at pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abz\u00fcge bekommt der Schuh nur beim Grip auf nassem Asphalt. Ich habe ihn f\u00fcr einen 5- und einen 10-Kilometer-Wettkampf getragen und da musste ich in den Kurven schon etwas auf die Beschaffenheit des Belages achten. Bei trockenem Wetter gar kein Problem, aber bei Nieselwetter ist etwas Aufmerksamkeit gefragt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hoka Mach X has quickly become one of my favorite shoes - in training and in competitions. The shoe simply handles everything and always shows a good figure - except for wet asphalt. But that is already my only criticism.<\/div><\/div>
