Soar Long Sleeve Tech-T 1.5
Soar Long Sleeve Tech-T 1.5
ca. 100 Euro

The longsleeve only entered the collection last year and has immediately become my favourite piece and part of the “Harlerunner Bundle”.
The new colours are certainly the most striking update to the long-sleeved shirt. But Tim Soar has also worked on the cut, making the top fit a little bit tighter.
What has remained is the wonderfully soft material, which not only absorbs sweat well, but also prevents odours thanks to a special treatment.
I think the shirt is pretty universal and I can hardly imagine a run where I couldn’t wear it. It works just as well as a T-shirt replacement as an additional layer in winter. I also really like the (new) colours.
ReviewSoar Tech-T 2.5
There is also a small update for the Tech-T, only half a version jump. I often ask myself what Tim wants to improve ;) With the Tech-T, there was actually only room for improvement in the colour scheme.
Fortunately, nothing has changed in the material: the Tech-T shares the luxurious Italian material with the longsleeve just shown. So it’s thin, light, soft and has optimal moisture transport.
For me, running clothes work best when I don’t notice them at all while running. And the Tech-T 2.5 is just such a piece. Of course, you can get good running shirts for less money. But I would always rather choose one perfect shirt than several mediocre ones.
ReviewSoar Run Shorts 4.0
Soar Run Shorts 4.0

Speaking of typical standard equipment that every runner should own: the Run Shorts 4.0 are definitely one of them. These mid-length shorts with inner briefs are the right choice for every day.
They borrowed the material from the Elite Race Shorts and share the laser-cut ventilation holes and hem with them. They are just a little longer and cover about half of the thigh.
The zipped pocket in the back remains just the right size for a smartphone, but can carry gels or keys just as well. A new feature is the cover on the fastener – a protective measure to prevent damage to delicate T-shirts.
The Run Shorts 4.0 come in three fairly muted colours. I actually wear them all year round, temperatures permitting. Because here too, the comfort and function of the shorts are so good that you completely forget about them while running. They are always at the very, very front of my drawer. :)
ReviewSoar Merino Wool Crew Socks
I had long been of the opinion that only specialists could make socks. But even they don’t always excel in terms of fit and durability. I have had very good experiences with the Soar socks so far and was therefore curious about the new Merino version.
The material and design seem to have been borrowed from the Merino Beanie. The socks are slightly thicker, but not in the sense of winter socks. That’s not necessary either, because the merino mix provides pleasant warmth when you need it anyway.
The moisture management of the merino wool also benefits you on warmer days, because you certainly won’t get sweaty feet in these socks. So far I haven’t managed to get a hole at my big toe, which usually happens very quickly. ;)
ReviewSoar All Weather Socks
The All Weather Socks have been given a very nice design update. For me, the package with two pairs of socks was worth it, because I really wear the socks very often. My first pair got me through the winter and many wet days. The material is water-repellent and always keeps my feet dry.
Of course, they are not waterproof (like a membrane), but they keep rain and snow out well. And if you accidentally step in a deep puddle, they dry out again very quickly, so you don’t have to keep running with wet, cold feet.
I don’t just wear them in bad weather, but all year round. They are my absolute favourite running socks, because the fit is perfect and they haven’t shown any weaknesses in durability yet. Only on very, very hot days do I change to thinner models.
Conclusion
Unfortunately, the Brexit has not made Soar products more affordable. The additional fees can really spoil the fun. But in terms of quality and function, Soar is simply in a league of its own.
